Annaka Terroir

Annaka Terroir is a manufacturing process that incorporates the water, earth, air, and sunlight of Annaka City, Gunma Prefecture, where Aritaya was founded.

"Terroir" refers to manufacturing that adds local climate, climate, and culture to the characteristics of the land.

This project will create new manufacturing values and culture in Annaka City by practicing and disseminating manufacturing that includes all the nature, climate, culture, and connections among people in Annaka City.

Concept

The concept of Annaka Terroir is "Think locally, act globally".

We aim to expand our one-of-a-kind manufacturing activities utilizing the local climate and atmosphere in Annaka, the place where our company was founded, both domestically and internationally, and ultimately to make Annaka a "sacred place of terroir" through fermentation culture, where people from overseas can experience a multicultural symbiosis.

Terroir-based soy sauce production

Aritaya's vision of Terroir-style naturally brewed soy sauce

We are engaged in the production of naturally brewed soy sauce using ingredients from the soil of Annaka, the place where Aritaya was founded.

Recipe Development

Expanding the taste nurtured through terroir-style natural brewing soy sauce production into global flavor creation

With the cooperation of restaurant chefs, we are developing recipes for dishes that take full advantage of the flavor of naturally brewed soy sauce, which is said to account for about 1% of domestic production.

International Exchanges

From Annaka, the birthplace of the company, to the world

Aritaya began exporting natural brewed shoyu in 2016 and currently has distribution channels mainly in Asia and the EU.
In the future, the company plans to expand beyond its existing areas to include even more rare and valuable Annaka Terroir-style natural brewed soy sauces.
